There is a reason why the Japanese people is recorded as one of the longest life span people in the world, the reason mainly being the food that they consume daily. As one says, ‘you are what you eat’; standard Japanese diet mainly consist of a good balance of carbs, protein, fiber, minerals, and fermented side dishes. Also, Japanese people are recorded as one of least number of obesity cases in the world too. It may be hard to believe as so many delicious yummy snacks originated from Japan, moderation is key.
The infamous sashimi dish is not foreign to many people in the world, you either love it or hate it, as it is a raw cut of seafood consumed with soy sauce & wasabi. Many fears the bacteria from the raw fish but many do not know the soy sauce and wasabi act as an anti-bacteria condiment & eliminating the ‘fishy’ smell, leaving only good bacteria that is safe to consume.
