1. Reheat waffles for 10 minutes until heated through.
2. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour with garlic powder, 1/2 salt, and 1/2 pepper.
3. Pat dry chicken and sprinkle with 1/4 salt and pepper.
4. Heat 2 inches of oil in high-sided skillet over medium heat until suitable for deep-fry. Dredge the chicken one by one in the bowl of seasoned flour. Fry until golden brown on both sides and cooked through for about 5 minutes.
5. Remove chicken and season with salt and pepper.
6. Drizzle honey and place the butter on the buttermilk waffles. Serve chicken with the waffles.
